0 The Southern Alberta Ethnic Association is bringing the community together once again with its signature Holiday Traditions from Around the World celebration. This is an annual event that highlights the cultural diversity, history, and festive traditions that make southern Alberta unique.
Taking place Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 5–9 p.m. at the Multicultural Center, this free, family-friendly event invites residents of all ages to experience holiday customs from around the globe. The evening will feature live performances, traditional foods, cultural exhibits, interactive games, hands-on workshops, and activities for kids.
Local dignitaries, cultural groups, historians, and community members will join the celebration to share insights and stories behind their holiday traditions. Attendees can look forward to:
- Traditional music and dance performances from SAEA member groups and local musicians
- Cultural displays showcasing the history and meaning behind seasonal customs
- Interviews and conversations with organizers and community leaders
- Food vendors offering a wide variety of cultural dishes and beverages
- Holiday activities for children, including games and surprises
