Shawn has given us an answer with online creative writing workshops from LitReactor! Shawn completed the two-week workshop, Short Story Mechanics, and has given us all the pros and cons of the class designed for new story writers! ⁠

Scroll through to read Shawn's short story "Good Boy: A Six Sentence Story." The story was written using the structure taught in the workshop. Each sentence represents one structural component: narrative hook, rising tension, conflict, setting, mood/theme, and resolution. Check it out!⁠

She will speak about maternal filicide, influencing personal and external factors, and utilizing the movie Lady Bird by Greta Gervig (2017) as an example of the Death mother. She intends to highlight that the nature of the Death Mother is diverse, carries range, and is not always presented in the same way.⁠
