Anderson Hall is open to summer students for the first half of the semester, which is when need will be re-evaluated. The building is open for equipment rentals, computer labs, and library material returns until the end of the week. Location and resources may change, so keep an eye out. Library services will be provided until June 19. When using the computer labs make sure to sit 6 ft. away from other students and use the hand sanitizer provided. Areas are cleaned immediately after a student leaves. If you are working on group assignments, consider doing it remotely.
As for textbooks, the bookstore remains closed until further notice but online orders are being filled as quickly as possible. Students are urged to choose online materials where possible but physical copies will be available. You can find your required course materials and order them here: https://lethbridge.verbacompare.com/. Textbook rentals are being suspended this term for safety reasons. Those who need to return books from the Spring 2020 semester should have gotten an email from the bookstore with instructions.
Like many other institutions in the country, the University of Lethbridge is offering a small student bursary for those suffering “severe short-term financial distress exacerbated by an emergency situation.” An emergency bursary is also available for international students, who are no doubt experiencing a uniquely difficult time. Both bursaries are available for undergraduate and graduate students. Further questions can be directed to covid19.inquiries@uleth.ca.
