Club Hub: University of Lethbridge Medieval Club

The University of Lethbridge Medieval Club is a club of dedicated students who participate in the Lethbridge Medieval Club (LMC) — a club of community members who are dedicated to learning about, recreating, and re-enacting medieval culture. Below are some focuses of the community club that are open to all members, whether university students or not.

Hey Lethbridge! You’re invited to the Club Carnival and Ocean Party!
On Friday, April 12, The U of L Surf Club, Art Society and The ULSU present the Club Carnival and Ocean Party, from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m.
The Club Carnival will run in The Zoo and Students’ Union Ballrooms from 4 until 8 p.m. At this event there will be live music and entertainment, BBQ, clothing vendors, artistic creations, club tables and a clothing swap. Student gets TLF written about her, feels validated

Second year student Heather Frasier said she was overjoyed two weeks ago when she noticed a TLF could only have been written about her.
“It said ‘to the blonde in Neuro 2600- single? theirs always room in my schedule for you.’ I knew it was me. For one thing, I’m really hot. And I’m in Neuro 2600. It’s evident it’s me.”

Social work students give back

The Social Work Students Association (SWSA) from the faculty of social work (University of Calgary Southern Alberta Region) dedicated their recent fundraising dollars to a local non-profit organization. SWSA was able to donate $1,426 to Meals on Wheels through two fundraisers: a bake sale and a silent auction. The bake sale was held in the Students’ Union building in February and the silent auction was held at the Social Work Forum on March 6, 2013 during Social Work Week. SWSA’s mission is to become actively involved within the Lethbridge community. …

There are only three days left until polls close on March 31 for the volunteer appreciation awards for CKXU DJs.
Vote online at ckxu.com/vote and pick your favourite program from various show categories including world music, spoken word, metal & punk, news & current affairs, eclectic, and more! There will be one winner only per category, unless there is a tie, in which case two or more people will win the award.
Winners will be announced April 6.
